Position
Summary:
This position will make possible the design and development of ClearPlexTM, a state-of-the-art ceramic filter for the telecommunication market. ClearPlex(TM) is a revolutionary ceramic technology that encompasses a miniaturized and light-weight mechanical structure, along with high performance attributes: high-power, high rejection and low insertion loss capabilities. Sr RF Design Engineer will design various types of ceramic RF filters/duplexers in the frequency range of 400-5000MHz and will support the entire lifecycle of a product from inception to commercialization.

Key
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities fall into three main categories: Product Definition (15%), Computer simulation using commercial and customer tools, design and manufacturability (35%) and Fabrication and test characterization (50%)
- Leads and assist Leadership in the continuous improvement of design flow, method and cycle time using appropriate statistical tools
- Works independently and in team, directing and coordinating the work of engineers and other technical personnel
- Performs other functions necessary for the completion of engineering assignments
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics
- Experience in the RF filter design (Cavity filter/dielectric resonator filter or other comparable RF filters)
- Strong RF background with solid modeling skills in RF circuits, 3D space and RF based CAE packages
- Proficiency with RF modeling tools such as Microwave Office and ADS
- Familiarity with 3D EM simulation software tools such as CST or HFSS
- Proficiency with MATLAB and Labview
- Project management skills on major development programs from concept to production
- Effective judgment and analytical conceptualization abilities
- Ability to communicate well at all levels of management, product management, production personnel, and external customers
- Ability to proactively develop new ideas / methodologies
- Experience coaching and mentioning others
Preferred
Qualifications:
- 5
years of experience in the design of cavity /dielectric resonator filters in the frequency range of 400-5000 Mhz
- MSEE or Masters in Physics
- 10
years of experience in RF component design which must include air-cavity or dielectric resonator filters
- Experience with RF ceramic technology
