The ideal candidate will have proven experience in warehouse management and leadership skills.
As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse staff, and ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the warehouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Management Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.
Coordinate with the inventory control team to optimize stock storage and rotation.
Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems to streamline processes.
Operational Efficiency Plan and organize warehouse layout and storage areas for optimal efficiency.
Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution operations.
Implement best practices for warehouse procedures to improve productivity and reduce errors.
Quality Control Enforce quality control standards to meet customer requirements.
Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff.
Implement safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Communication Liaise with other departments to coordinate warehouse activities with overall business objectives.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, shipping companies, and other stakeholders.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to warehouse operations.
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
Proven experience in warehouse management, with at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
Familiarity with safety and quality standards.
Proficient in using warehouse software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 30 pounds).
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
