Independent Living Advisors - Full & Part Time Needed for Salisbury, Maryland locations.
An Independent Living Advisor (ILA) provides support, guidance, and role modeling while supporting the daily activities of individuals served.
Services are individualized according to the needs of each individual which are provided in their homes and out in the community so that they have independence in the community to lead full and happy lives.
Assistance areas include--but are not limited to--personal hygiene, medication administration, advocacy, communication facilitation, money management, household management and much more.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required; one-year related experience preferred; competency with basic independent living skills; must be flexible, able to work some evenings, overnights and weekends as well as work within a team approach environment.
Need to have the ability to teach, advise and motivate people.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and good driving record required, as well as a clean background check.
Fluency in ASL preferred; but willing to train the right person.
