Summary:
The Talent and Development Coach assists Goodwill employees in addressing barriers to employment and supporting career goal attainment.
Using a client centered and strength-based approach, the Talent and Development Coach will serve as a resource to ensure employees successfully complete professional and personal development goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
Completes educational, interest, needs and aptitude assessments to determine appropriate service delivery.
Identifies areas for improvement that will increase an employee's success at retaining employment, such as behavioral and physical health needs, housing, transportation, education, professional development, and available benefits/entitlements.
Providing linkages and referrals to community resources to address needs.
Conducts crisis interventions related to employment barriers and directs all personnel matters to department manager and human resources.
Identifies trainings for staff to address employment barrier trends and improve career and financial goal attainment.
Collaborates with all departments to coordinate training and support services.
Prepares annual federal and state taxes for organizational employees.
Writes individual career and financial plans (ICFP's) for assigned caseload, monitors progress and adjusts goals as necessary.
Conducts one-on-one meetings with employees to continually monitor efforts and measure progress made toward established goals.
Documents all contact and service coordination in case management system.
Responsible for maintaining case notes, updating ICFPs, and producing data to evaluate service effectiveness.
Serves as a liaison between the employee and external agencies.
Adheres to boundaries and professional ethics in providing services to employees.
Participates actively in team meetings as well as provides support when necessary to team members.
Serves as GIC's mission representative to employees of the organization.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, psychology, counseling, education, or related field required.
Two years of experience in teaching, training, case management, counseling and/or assisting people to meet career development goals, obtain and maintain employment and develop careers required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess a current valid and unrestricted driver's license and be fully insured according to Maryland law.
Must be able to pass the IRS Certification Exam within 6 months of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary Lifting to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and files.
Walking and standing are occasionally required.
Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is defined as travel to all areas within Goodwill's territory (Cecil, Harford, Baltimore, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties, Baltimore City, and the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland).
In some cases, long-distance travel, including overnights may be required but is typically planned.
In some cases, travel may be unplanned.
Up to 75% of working time Must have access to a personal vehicle.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Limited General office environment where the employee is infrequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, or outside weather conditions.
The noise level is usually quiet.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
